Funeral services for Reverend Daniel Swinnea will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2012 in the Full Gospel Revival Center, Oakdale with Reverends Philip Holloway, Mark Swinnea, J. D. Beckett, Joey Swinnea, Danny Swinnea and Mark Herridge officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Swinnea, 56, of Ten Mile Community entered eternal rest on Monday, March 5, 2012 in his residence with his loving family by his side.
Reverend Daniel Swinnea was a dedicated husband, father and pastor of Full Gospel Revival Center. He was an International Missionary, founder of “God’s Little One’ and President of the Texas / Louisiana Pentecostal Fellowship. We proudly give honor to this brave soldier of the Cross who gave himself for the cause of Christ and for the sake of others. You will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his three sons – Jonathon David Swinnea, Michael Wayne Swinnea and Dewight Kirk Swinnea; his parents – Reverend J. C. Swinnea and Margie Swinnea and three brothers – James Ray Swinnea, David Carroll Swinnea and John Michael Swinnea.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of forty years, Betty Ann Swinnea of Ten Mile Community; four sons; Dewayne Hazelton and his wife, Rhonda of Ten Mile Community, Danny Swinnea and his wife, Jennifer of Saluda, South Carolina, Richard Swinnea and his wife, Jackie of Ten Mile Community and Joey Swinnea and his wife, NaKisha of Ten Mile Community; two brothers - Paul Swinnea of Walker and Mark Swinnea of Oakdale and two sisters - Julia Swinnea Boone and Sarah Swinnea Bond, both of Oakdale. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; Brittany, Tiffany, MaKayla, Anna, Levi, Abbitha, MaKenzie, Isaac, Jadan, Ariel and Richard Kent, Jr.
