Funeral services for Mr. William Carroll Dixon will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in New Hope Baptist Church, Calcasieu with Reverends Tom Smith and Brian Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mr. Dixon, 72, of Calcasieu entered eternal rest on Monday, April 30, 2012 in his residence with his loving family near his side.

He was a retired school bus driver after twenty-four years and was owner of Bill and Alice’s Grocery for twelve years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Willie Dixon.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of forty-five years, Alice Dixon of Calcasieu; one daughter, Beth Bryant & her husband, Elree of Denham Springs; two brothers, John W. Dixon and his wife, Fannie of Virginia and O’Neal Dixon of North Carolina and three sisters, Wanda Carr, Kay Carter and Faye Craft and her husband, Donald, all of North Carolina.

Friends may call at New Hope Baptist Church, Calcasieu on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 7:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
