Funeral services for Mrs. Katy Jo Johnson will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2012 in Palestine Baptist Church, Grant with Reverends Curt Isles, Hardy Estes and Dore’ Langley officiating. Interment will follow in Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mrs. Johnson, 78, of Grant entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 17, 2012 in her daughter’s residence with her loving family by her side.

Katy was a longtime member of Palestine Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Johnson; two sons, Randell Johnson and Delbert “Bert” Johnson and her parents, George and Amanda Hillebrandt. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include four sons, George Johnson and his wife, Dianne, Kenneth Johnson and his wife, Peggy, Andrew Johnson and his wife, Martha, all of Grant and Russell Johnson and his wife, Toni of Longville; two daughters, Donna Laird and her husband, Scott and Beverly Doyle and her husband, Troy, both of Grant; one brother, Andrew Hillebrandt of Woodlawn; one sister, June Ward of Lake Charles; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Palestine Baptist Church, Grant on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services at 2:00 p.m.
