Funeral services for Mr. Brian David Slaney will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012 in the Rush Chapel, Oakdale with Reverend Greg Willis officiating. Interment with will follow in Occupy # 1 Cemetery, Pitkin under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mr. Slaney, 47, of Oakdale entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 30, 2012 in his residence with his loving family at his side.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold L. Slaney, Sr.; one brother, Shawn Slaney and two ½ brothers, Billy and Rick Vest. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of eight years, Desiree Willis Slaney of Oakdale; two sons, Dustin Richmond and Devin Slaney, both of Oakdale; one daughter, Maddison Willis of Oakdale; his mother, Billie Jean Slaney of Oakdale; three brothers, Harold L. “Bubba” Slaney, Jr. of Oakdale; Mike “ Freck” Slaney and his wife, Mylette of Elizabeth and Carl Tim Slaney of Oakdale; one sister, Carol Slaney Davis and her husband, Bob of Oakdale; one ½ brother, Mark Vest and his wife, Amber of Lake Charles; two ½ sisters; Belinda Vest and Glenda Vest, both of Lake Charles; grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Harold “Bubba” Slaney, Jr., Mike “Freck” Slaney, Bob Davis, Lee Slaney, Mark Cloud and Billy Slaney Guillory. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Cloud, Rayford Welch and Carl Tim Slaney.

Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale on Sunday, July 1, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Monday, July 2, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
