Elna Pitts, 92, of Oakdale passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012 in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria.

Miss Pitts retired from Exxon Oil where she was a member of the Desk and Derrick Club. She was also a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Oakdale. She loved her Savior and her Church and was faithful to it until her health declined.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, H. C. and Mattie Pitts; her only sister, Jessie Pitts Wiggins and her husband, Sam Wiggins.

She is survived by two nieces, Judy Wiggins Leggett and her husband, Louis of Pineville and Nancy Wiggins Willis and her husband, Johnny of Oakdale. She also is survived by her great niece, Laura Leggett Johnson and her husband, Geoben of Allen, Texas and two great, great nieces, Kate and Hannah Johnson.

Miss Pitts also had a faithful pet, “Pookie” who loved his “Mama” as much as she loved him.

A special thanks to all of her friends and their support of our aunt through the years and a special thanks to Tillie Logan for all that she did to care for Aunt “EL”. Words cannot express our gratitude and we love each and every one of you for all that you did.

A private graveside service was held in Oakdale Cemetery.

Any memorial may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 309 East 6th Avenue, Oakdale, LA 71463
