Memorial services for Mr. Jimmie D. Worsham will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, Pineville with Father George Gennuso officiating. Interment will be private. Arrangements entrusted to Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mr. Worsham, age 68, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Friday, February 17, 2012 at his residence. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was retired after 30 years of service from Proctor & Gamble. He was an avid gun collector and a lifetime member of the NRA. He was a former member and fundraiser of the Alpine Volunteer Fire Department. He was an animal lover and rescuer. He was a mentor with the La. Youth Challenge Program. He was a caregiver to all of his family when in need. As a young child he would often assist his Reverend Grandfather in his selection of scriptures for his Sunday service. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie David Worsham and Letha Viola Sheflet; one son, Robert John Coleman; one daughter, Frances Worsham; one brother, Kenneth Worsham. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Eva Studstill Worsham of Pineville; one son, Jarrod Worsham of Pineville; four daughters, Linda Rigney of Pineville, Jana Boatwright of Farmerville, Hailaine Hale of Dallas, Texas and Robin Roth of St. Petersburg, Florida; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
